After
more than 90 years
as an importer and distributor of pharmaceuticals in Greece,
Lavipharm began researching and developing its own products in 1979.
Lavipharm began international expansion in the 1980's, and beginning
with transdermal drug delivery systems, the company expanded into
intra-oral delivery systems and biomaterials in the 1990's. By the
mid 1990s, Lavipharm has established Lavipharm Laboratories Inc. in
the United States to drive research and development. Today, based in
East Windsor, NJ USA, Lavipharm Corp. is home to worldwide Corporate
R&D, Business Development, and Marketing/Sales outside of Greece

Lavipharm acquires 30% equity interest in Phasex Corporation together with
exclusive rights to Phasex Corporation's supercritical fliud technologies
for use in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields

patch by Helsinn in Portugal and Megapharm in Israel
Lavipharm enters into an agreement with GlaxoSmithKline for distribution
of Lavipharm's anti-blemish patch for sale in the U.K.
Business development partnership with Kobe Steel Ltd. for supercritical
fluid technology development in Japan
